Human Welfare Trust has organized a pavilion at the 7th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas in Chennai during 7th to 9th Jan 2009 at Chennai Trade Centre to showcase its activities and projects to the Indian Diaspora. Mr. Vayalar Ravi, Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs inaugurated the pavilion. Prof. Siddique Hassan and other members of the Trust were present there. He was kind enough to spare a few minutes to see the exhibits displayed at the pavilion. The pavilion had exhibits on Women Empowerment, Micro Financing, Education, Health Care and Disaster Management.
They gave the visitor an idea about what Human Welfare Trust under its ambitious VISION 2016 projects had contributed significantly in those areas and also what it plans to do for the next 8 years. Many Non-Resident Indians ( NRI's ) and Persons of Indian Origin ( PIO's ) from across the globe visited the pavilion.
